How to perform ASUS AC5300 router setup in a home network?

A user is recommended to meet all the system requirements and prerequisites that are mandatory for the setup process of the ASUS AC5300 router in a local network. A user can perform the ASUS router setup process either through a wired connection or through a wireless connection. A wired connection is done through the Ethernet cable and a wireless connection is done with the help of the Wi-fi signals that connect your router to the computer.

Before the setup process, here are some precautions that every user must take to avoid the risks that may lead to the failure of the ASUS router setup process

  1. Users are advised to have a wired connection between their router and the computer that may lower the risk of the disconnection issue in the middle of the setup process.
  2. If you are replacing an old router in your network, first disconnect it from all other devices and your network, then start the setup process of your new router. It will help your network to determine the router in which the Internet bandwidth is to be transmitted.
  3. During the setup process, keep the electronic or other Wi-fi enabled devices away from the location where you will perform the setup process. Other networking or Wi-fi enabled devices may interrupt the signals that are to be transmitted into your router and might bring failure in the ASUS router setup process.
  4. Make sure you have noted down the default SSID name which is going to be required when for the first time you have to connect to the temporary network of your ASUS router. The default Network name is utilized during the setup process that directly takes you to the configuration page of your ASUS AC5300 router.
  5. Reboot your modem, computer, or mobile device that will be used during the setup process. If the modem you are using has a backup battery on its back, remove that battery as well.

Note: After performing all the above steps, you can go ahead to do the ASUS router setup process in your home network.
