Asus Zenwifi ax Setup

ASUS ZENWifi AX Setup is a whole Wi-fi system which is compatible with connecting multiple ASUS routers within a network resulting in a robust speed of Internet in your network. The system is flexible enough to mix any kind of ASUS router to extend the wireless coverage and Internet bandwidth in a specific network. A user doesn’t have to get rid of the hardware even when he wants to update or bring any changes within the settings of his connected ASUS routers.

Steps to setup ASUS ZEN Wi-fi AX system in your home network

1. Look for an available three-pin port and plug in the Power adapter of the ASUS ZENWifi AX system into it.
2. Turn on the Power button and also press the power button of the Ai-mesh system, which is present on the back of your device.
3. Wait for a few minutes until the Ai-mesh router successfully turns on. When the Power LED of your ASUS ZENWi-fi AX system turns blue, that indicates your device is ready for the setup process.
4. In case the LED doesn’t turn blue, you need to troubleshoot the issue before heading towards other steps.
5. Now use the network cable to connect your Wi-fi mesh system to your modem. Connect one end to the modem and the other end to the WAN port of your ASUS ZENWi-fi AX system.
6. Take another network cable connecting one end to the computer and the other end to the LAN port of your Ai-mesh Wi-fi router. Make sure you connect it properly to both the devices from each end.
7. You are done with the connection process, now you can switch to the computer to do the remaining process i.e “configuration process” through the router.asus.com interface.

After the successful connection, a user has to perform the configuration of his Ai-mesh router on the computer through the router.asus.com interface. The configuration process must be done carefully as it is the process that is going to determine the functioning of your ASUS ZENWifi AX system on your network.

Steps to configure the ASUS ZENWifi AX system in your network through the router.asus.com interface

1. When your Wifi mesh system is successfully connected with your computer and the modem.
2. Go to your computer, open a web browser and type router.asus.com on the web address of the opened browser. In case you encounter any error try typing the LAN IP address of your ASUS ZENWi-fi router.
3. IF it's the first time you are interacting with the router.asus.com interface, the moment you type router.asus.com as the URL of your browser and hit the enter button you will be redirected to the QIS (Quick Internet Setup) page automatically.
4. Click on the Create a New Network option shown on the main configuration page of your Wi-fi mesh system.
5. Now position your Wi-fi Mesh router within the 3 to 4 meters range from other networking devices during the ASUS ZENWi-fi setup process.
6. Click on the Next tab, Now assign a unique Network name for your wireless network. Type the SSID name on the Network Name field that you want to provide to your ASUS Mesh router and mention the Wi-fi password that you want to assign to the network.
7. Click on the Apply button to apply the configurations you made and to complete the setup process.
8. On the Next window if you want to enable the 802.11ax/Wi-fi 6 mode, then tick the empty box and click on the Next tab.
9. In the last method, you need to assign the admin username and login password for the ASUS router login window. Using the login credentials, one will be allowed to access the router.asus.com interface of your ASUS ZENWifi AX system. Using a strong password you can deny the entry of unwanted users to the router.asus.com interface.
10. Click on the Next tab when you are done assigning the login credentials for the router login window.
11. The ASUS Wi-fi mesh system will then search for all the available ASUS routers nearby and will add them to your Ai-Mesh system. When all the routers get connected to your mesh system, you will notice that both the ZENWi-fi LED lights on your ASUS mesh device turned solid white.

Note: Before the ASUS ZENWifi setup process, a user has to make sure that all the ASUS routers which are connected to the mesh system support the Ai-mesh system in them. Routers that do not support mesh systems won’t be able to connect to your ASUS ZENWi-fi device. Also, make sure that the routers which are being connected to the ZENWi-fi system are being updated to their latest firmware.

ASUS ZENWifi AX mesh system account register

A user has to register to the ASUS account before the Ai-mesh setup process, to benefit himself from various services that ASUS provides to its users. When you successfully register yourself in an ASUS account, you can add all the ASUS networking device to the account and can become eligible to receive various products promotions for your ASUS ZENWi-fi system

Steps to register the ASUS account in the ASUS ZENWiFi system

1. Launch a browser on your Wi-Fi-connected computer or a mobile device.
2. Take your cursor to the address bar of your browser and type asus.com as the URL of your browser to visit the official ASUS website. In case you encounter any error while accessing the website, try using a different browser or deleting the cache memory of your browser.
3. Hit the enter button, then click on the Login button residing at the upper right corner of the screen.
4. ASUS router login window appears on the screen. As you are a new user you need to click on the Signup tab to create a new ASUS account for your ASUS ZENWi-Fi router.
5. Now, you need to choose a method for the registration purpose. If you want to login to the ASUS account through your email id then register it with the email id and if you want to login with the mobile number then register it with your mobile number.
6. If you chose the email id then mention your email id and if you have chosen your mobile number then you need to add your current mobile number.
7. Fill all the required details in their respective fields. Mandatory fields will be marked with the red dot and vice-versa.
8. Click on the “ I am not a robot” option to personalize an identity of a person. Click on the Signup button.
9. Follow the on-screen instructions and fill up all the verification details required to complete your basic information.
10. Go to your browser and check the inbox of your registered email. Click on the link that is sent to you for verification purposes. As soon as you click on the verification link, it will activate your ASUS account.

Note: Registering yourself to the ASUS account with the email option is considered a secure way to keep the unwanted users away from accessing the ASUS account. Make sure you type down the correct email id while registering it as a login medium for your ASUS account.
